A box arrived last week for me, but it was actually for our daughter. It was a box of approximately 15 new Nancy Drew paperbacks. Our daughter lost her mind. She asked where they came from. I answered from an old friend of mommy and daddy's.
It was actually from my ex-husband. We are friendly and still keep up on the families. We have no children between us, yet he remains fond of our entire family. He was so kind and noticed on my other blog a posting about the Nancy Drew collection that our daughter has and how much she enjoys reading them with me. He remembered this when he was at an auction recently and ended up with a small collection.
Our daughter is so grateful and thrilled. She loves the originals, but is having fun now that Nancy has a cell phone. They are all still just as nice and wholesome, but with more current settings and tools.
