It's slumber party night in our son's room. His sister can read and loves to read to her little brother. It's after 9. I'm done! In his most persuasive and sweet voice he asked us, "Can you both read the story. I can really pay attention to both at the same time. I have two ears and one mouth so that I can hear you both read me a story, PLEEEAse."
How do you turn that down? I read Mo Willems, "Edwina, the dinosaur who didn't know she was extinct" and his sister followed up with the abridged version of, "Bambi." He was content.
During the Edwina book, there was a line when Edwina realized she was extinct, "Edwina was shocked."
His response, "Do you know that if you stick your finger in a toaster, you will get shocked? Did Edwina find a toaster with big holes?"
