Sometimes I'm a a bit of an imp. I just can't help myself some nights while he has "ultimate beat'em up" on as the last show of the night. We share an ITunes account. This can be fun.
He gets the newsletters more than I do. Recent purchases affect the stuff they send and recommend to you. This is where it's fun. Recently I just spun all around and downloaded a bunch of Earth Wind and Fire along with Fred Astaire from the 1930's, Judy Garland and let's not forget to mention a recent interest in Gloria Estefan's Spanish cuts. I love her music, but I listen to too many of the lyrics and get sad sometimes. Having the Spanish version gives me her voice and music and I'm just happy as can be.
Tonight was the coup de gras -- I remembered a really nifty song from my old church youth group. I remembered the man's name, David Meece. I wasn't too bad, I only downloaded one from the category, "inspirational." This will be enough.
You need to know, my husband has the Stones, Dana Fuchs, Susan Tedeschi, Willie Nelson and other gritty folks. These just mess up his recommendations all over the place.
I'm not that cruel. If I were I would mess with Pandora on his computer and choose some of the same songs. He'd have a hard time shaking the disco songs they thought he'd like.
Sometimes it's just fun to give these things a spin and wait to hear him shouting from the back of the house when the salsa emails come in with a Christian spin.
