I'm wondering what your top ten movies of all time are. My list is a bit bizarre. I was reminded just how bizarre as I flipped through to one of mine - "Tank Girl."
That said, here is the list in its current order and with the current selection. This is definitely subject to updating as I remember one that I forgot or discover a new treasure.
10. Monty Python and the Holy Grail - duh
9. Men in Black- gotta love "Egger"
8. Holiday - Cary Grant/Katharine Hepburn - the screwball comedy at its finest
7. Pulp Fiction - for so many reasons. Gratuitous violence with self-deprecating humor. I know most lines.
6. Casablanca - the chemistry, script, cinematography
5. The Princess Bride - perfectly cast, fun, subtle and unique
4. Across the Universe - music, cast, story - but really the music
3. Much Ado About Nothing - Emma Thompson/Kenneth Branagh version. QUITE funny. Cast perfectly.
2. The Women - 1939 George Cukor, Director
TA DA - 1. Philadelphia Story - Katharine Hepburn/Cary Grant/Jimmy Stewart version
Honorable mentions:
Young Frankenstein
Indiana Jones
Alien
Madagascar
Star Wars - The original for some of us, Episode IV for the young'ins.
Mystic Pizza
